What does a 13F portfolio show?

A reported portfolio is a snapshot of certain securities at quarter end.

A 13F reports holdings for a quarter, including separate entries for shares, options and principal amounts. It does not describe every asset a manager owns. The reported dollar value is a value at the reporting date, not a price paid or an investment return.

This site resolves amendments before showing a quarterly portfolio. Share percentages keep options and principal amounts apart. Read the amendment rule and the share-count rule.
