About Stanley Druckenmiller
Druckenmiller founded Duquesne Capital Management in 1981 and ran it until closing the firm at the end of 2010. An archived Berkeley-hosted biography also records his work at Soros Fund Management from 1988 to 2000, including responsibility for the Quantum Fund and a chief-investment-officer role. Earlier employers included Pittsburgh National Bank and Dreyfus. He studied economics and English at Bowdoin College before undertaking graduate economics studies at Michigan. These dated career connections explain his association with macro investing; the archived biography does not establish every present-day family-office title.
